This comp is for you, whether you’re a huge Lego flowers fan, looking for unique and quirky decorations for your home or you need a gift for someone you care about that goes beyond the ordinary. The LEGO® Icons Bouquet of Roses set (10328) is a really fantastic build for anyone, whether you’re putting it together on your own for a few peaceful hours or enjoying some time with family or friends.

This set is part of the LEGO Botanical Collection, a series that Lego released specifically for adults. With 822 pieces, the set builds a dozen red roses, with four in full bloom, four blooming, and four in bud. There are also plus 4 sprigs of ‘baby’s breath’ (or Gypsophila if you like), with small white flowers that sit beautifully against the striking red roses. Roses are pretty expensive to buy fresh and they don’t last long – but this bouquet is the perfect no-maintenance bouquet to add a beautiful floral touch to any space in your home, without the hassle of keeping real flowers alive.

This set comes very highly recommended by Lego fans – one reviewer said: “I always kill flowers in a few days, but these will last forever!” (yeah me too…) And that’s just it- LEGO roses don’t wilt or need feeding or watering, making this set an ideal way to bring some beauty into your home in a sustainable way. In fact, LEGO’s entire Botanical Collection contains many elements made from plant-based plastic, aka sugarcane – another reason to feel really good about your new set!

The plastic used to make the elements is polyethylene, a soft, durable and flexible plastic made from sustainably sourced sugarcane, a renewable material that grows at the same rate or faster than we use it. The sustainable sourcing follows guidance from the WWF’s Bioplastic Feedstock Alliance (BFA) and adheres to the Bonsucro Chain of Custody standard, a third party certified global standard. The new elements are made up of 98% plant-based materials.

If you’re one of those rare people who doesn’t relish in the thought of a few quiet hours putting this set together (sorry, we don’t understand you), it’s also good to know that this set makes a wonderful gift, whether for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, a birthday, or just as a special surprise for someone you really care about. Another reviewer commented, “Best Valentine’s activity ever,” after assembling the bouquet as a romantic date night project – much better than a bunch that will only last a week. The roses are realistic, beautifully detailed, and, of course, long-lasting – making them a great alternative to real flowers.

Another reviewer shared how enjoyable the building process is, saying, “It took about 4 hours to get all of the flowers ready… It’s a perfect activity not only for kids but for adults as well.” The set is designed with relaxation in mind, allowing you to focus on the build and take a break from the stresses of everyday life. It’s even broken down into three stages like many of the large adult sets, making it easy to build over time when you have a free moment.

For those concerned about how difficult it might be to put together, despite the 18+ recommendation, be assured that the build process is designed to be accessible and enjoyable. Yes, it would likely frustrate younger children but it is not overly complex. The instructions are well thought out and clear, allowing you to build at your own pace. And if you prefer to follow along digitally, LEGO’s Builder app provides a digital version of the instructions (this is super helpful compared to the paper instructions as you get better views of how the bricks fit together).

Once built, you can display your completed bouquet in a vase, just like the real thing, with the roses standing tall on their green stems. And because LEGO is all about creativity, you can combine this set with other flowers sets, such as the Lego Flower Bouquet or Wild Flower Bouquet, to create a custom arrangement or a larger display. When finished, the tallest rose stands at over 12 inches (31 cm) tall, making it a real statement piece. It’s large enough to be noticed, but still compact enough to fit perfectly into plenty of spaces around your home. Whether on a shelf, a desk, or as part of a centrepiece in your living room, this bouquet will add a lovely pop of colour to your space with none of the fuss of real flowers.

One reviewer of this set says, “These flowers almost look alive!” – that’s a pretty good endorsement for a bunch of LEGO bricks! The stems are durable, the colours are vibrant, and the overall build quality is everything you’d expect from Lego.

This set retails for £54.99, but entering our competition gives you the chance to win this gorgeous set at a fraction of the cost. This comp has a cap of just 150 tickets and with our bundles, you can get 10 tickets for just £4.80 with incredible odds!
