Ok, is there any kid on this planet that doesn’t want one of these? If your troop haven’t yet got a Switch, we cannot recommend them enough and the OLED model is BEST MODEL BY FAR. Why? Because it has the bigger vibrant 7-inch OLED screen, plus a wide adjustable stand, a dock with a wired LAN port, 64 GB of internal storage, and enhanced audio. It’s way better than a regular Switch, mainly thanks to the vibrant OLED screen (compared to a regular Switch LED screen), larger size and increased storage (we get through the storage space on our OLED and have to boot some games so I’ve no idea how people get on with a regular Switch).

The awesome thing about the Switch is that you can play it a bunch of different ways. So your kid can pick it up and take it along for car journeys with the joycon controllers attached, OR they can put the Switch in the cradle/dock, remove the joy cons and play with them as two individual sideways controllers. (This is fine for e.g. Just Dance but for other games, personally I prefer to attach them to the ‘grip’ to make one controller and I’ve bought myself another pro controller so my son and I can play Splatoon 3 or Mario Cart 8, by far the best Switch games!)

The OLED model has two USB ports, an HDMI port for connecting to your TV, and a new wired LAN port in case your internet isn’t too great.
